MJBizDaily receives prestigious award for coverage of 2020 election and COVID-19 crisis

The Trade Association Business Publications International (TABPI) has proudly announced that MJBizDaily and MJBizMagazine won two Tabbie awards for “excellence in trade journalism.” All Tabbie award-winners are dedicated to trade, association and B2B publications.

A silver medal was bestowed upon the acclaimed organization in the “Special Section” category to “Marijuana on the Ballot.” Specifically, this award was presented based on MJBizMagazine’s October cover story, which focused on the 2020 U.S. general election.

“Strong, unbiased reporting on a hyper-relevant issue to this magazine’s readership,” was how TABPI described MJBizDaily’s winning entry.

In addition to this, TABPI applauded Denver-based MJBizDaily for the cannabis industry news website’s “good layout and use of appropriate colors” which, experts say, “make the entire package easy to follow and digest.”

The online cannabis news site was commended for its methodical use of data and statistics. Combined, these facts and figures contribute to the standalone resource’s “timely and evergreen” status.

MJBizDaily and MJBizMagazine were also acknowledged for providing in-depth insights into the coronavirus pandemic; the editorial team’s submission was among the top 25 entries in the category titled “COVID-19 Coverage.”

MJBizDaily is gearing up to host popular conference

MJBizDaily is responsible for hosting the most-anticipated industry event of the year MJBizCon. This year, it will take place from October 19-22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Anyone who attends the event should prepare to see a lot of cannabis deals going down; more than at any other event.

MJBizCon has much more to offer than deal-closing opportunities, however. Attendees can establish new career connections, consult with investors, gain valuable business advice, form partnerships, network with industry peers and even test out new products/services.

This year’s event is expected to feature more than 1,000 industry suppliers on the Expo Floor, which will be hosted in a space that’s double the usual size; so as to ensure paramount COVID safety measures and less crowding. Digital-only registrations are also being made available to people who are unable to make the journey to Las Vegas.
