Wiz Khalifa Partners with Supreme to expand cannabis brand

Wiz Khalifa’s Khalifa Kush Enterprises (KKE) has entered into an agreement with Supreme.

The exclusive consulting agreement confirms the development and soon-to-be launch of a premium line of cannabis products. This isn’t the first time you will have heard Wiz Khalifa’s name being mentioned in the same subject as cannabis, and it probably won’t be the last.

He rose to fame for his rapping skills and smooth style, but he’s much more than just a star of the music world.

“My team and I have spent the past year finding a partner that shares our vision, values, and passion for cannabis. The team at Supreme Cannabis understands the importance of high-quality cannabis and how to produce [it at scale],” said the 31-year-old rapper.

Wiz Khalifa and Supreme hope to build brand presence in Canada

Canada’s market is the primary target of his latest business move, with Wiz hoping to bring his widely successful KKE brand from the United States to Canada’s fresh legal weed scene.

“Wiz is a globally-recognized cannabis taste maker and connoisseur,” said the president of Supreme Cannabis, John Fowler. “I was impressed by the quality of the ‘Khalifa Kush’ strain and the level of care and involvement Wiz had with developing the strain and working with cultivators to continue to improve quality batch-by-batch. We’re excited to be working with KKE Canada to build out another brand with the same commitment to quality.”

Wiz is optimistic that the partnership with Supreme will bolster his brand on an international scale.

“Canada is a very important place to me with the idea for ‘Kush and Orange Juice’ being created in Toronto, it’s the perfect start for the international expansion of Khalifa Kush,” said the Principal of KKE himself, Wiz Khalifa.

Wiz Khalifa has developed his own range of regulated cannabis strains

During his time in the limelight, Wiz Khalifa has taken on more than one role, from acting to singing, songwriting and developing cannabis products.

His foray into the legal cannabis industry really started blossom in 2016, when he teamed up with  Colorado-based RiverRock Cannabis. Through this partnership, he was able to develop a selection of regulated, safe, and potent cannabis strains, products and concentrates; all of which are distributed under the Khalifa Kush brand.

Moreover, he developed a mobile game called Weed Farm during the 4/20 celebrations of 2017. This game enables players to take on the role of a cannabis business operator. You’ll probably hear Wiz rapping about weed quite often in his music, too. After all, he’s openly partial to pot and could probably out-smoke us all.

High-profile celebrities are getting involved in the legal weed industry

It seems like the red carpet is turning green, what with so many celebrities joining the “green movement” and launching cannabis-focused businesses. Those celebrities include Snoop Dogg (Snoop Dogg’s Leafs), Bob Marley (Marley Naturals), Willie Nelson (Willie’s Reserve), Tommy Chong (Chong’s Choice) and many, many more.

Since we are in the “influencer age” whereby consumers are heavily influenced by what they see their icons or idols wearing/using/doing, celebrity-cannabis partnerships are certainly contributing to cannabis reform. So, from all of us pro-pot people, nice one Wiz.

Supreme will retain exclusive rights to the KKE brand.
