Neiman Marcus debuts CBD beauty products

According to Statista, the CBD market could bring in $2bn in sales over the next four years

A chain of luxury department stores headquartered in Dallas, Texas, has unleashed a line of CBD beauty wellness products.

Boasting 42 retail locations, Neiman Marcus Group, Inc. has introduced numerous cannabis brands as part of its “Trending Beauty” initiative.

The cannabis beauty brands being carried both online and in five of Neiman Marcus’ stores include Cannuka, Cannabliss Organic, Code of Harmony, Ildi Pekar, Sagely Naturals, Vertly and Yuyo Botanics.

Numerous other product categories are yet to be unveiled by Neiman Marcus, including ingestibles, such as capsules and edibles, and self-care weed-based goods, like face creams and hydrating body lotions.

“Our new CBD assortment is an important part of Neiman Marcus’ commitment to the health and well-being of our customers,” said the Beauty Buyer for Neiman Marcus, Kim D’Angelo. “Cannabis beauty brands are becoming increasingly popular and CBD products are the next big thing in beauty. Neiman Marcus plans to continue to expand our CBD assortment while offering customers the latest and greatest in Trending Beauty.”

Benefits of CBD in the Health and Wellness Market

Both the cannabis and hemp plants produce a non-psychotropic cannabinoid called Cannabidiol (CBD). Known for its ability to relieve stress and pain in a natural way, CBD products can be administered in more ways than one.

For example, they can be applied directly to affected areas of skin for localized relief, such as by using one of the balms, lotions, serums and masks from Neiman. Alternatively, CBD-rich oils can be dropped onto/beneath the tongue using a tincture for swift absorption into the bloodstream.

CBD is up-and-coming as the next big thing in the beauty and wellness industry. Described as the “next gold rush,” the CBD market could bring in $2 billion in sales over the next four years, based on Statista’s projections for the industry.

Analysts from the Brightfield Group are certain that hemp-derived CBD products will begin to dominate, with the industry estimated to yield $22 billion by 2022.
