L.A. ranked number nine on a list of the top 10 "weed cities" in the U.S.

Cannabis is a hot topic across the United States, where 38 states have legalized the plant in some form. Researchers at Real Estate Witch recently emphasized the popularity of legal weed in their new report of the top 10 “weed cities.”

For seasoned smokers, investors and all-round cannabis connoisseurs who wish to capitalize on the best that the U.S. legal cannabis market has to offer – a market that could further flourish if the MORE Act is officially adopted into law by Congress – knowing which cities are worth visiting is a must.

Thanks to Real Estate Witch’s new report, the hard work has been done on behalf of all the people who wish to get an authentic taste of the U.S. legal cannabis industry. Their most recent analysis ranks the best places to puff the herb according to the number of dispensaries per 100,000 people.

Here’s a brief overview of that list:

  1. Denver, Colorado – Topping the list is Denver, where there’s plenty of variety and seven times more dispensaries than any other state featured on this list at 9.8 per 100,000 residents.
  2. Portland, Oregon – Meanwhile, in Oregon’s largest city of Portland, there are 7.9 dispensaries per 100,000 residents.
  3. Sacramento, California – In the “City of Trees” there are 4.5 cannabis retail stores per 100,000 residents.
  4. Las Vegas, Nevada – Weed-loving tourists who descend upon “Sin City” will enjoy the fact that there are 4.0 legal pot stores for every 100,000 residents.

  6. Seattle, Washington – Expect to find 1.9 dispensaries per 100,000 residents in Seattle, where consumers can admire a blend of city and nature whilst feeling “high”.
