Kim Kardashian – the spouse of music mogul Kanye West and billionaire celebrity businesswoman – has declared her approval of CBD.

She wasn’t shy to integrate CBD with the theme of her most recent baby shower and, according to recent news, she has further solidified her support for the non-psychoactive cannabinoid that is taking global health and wellness market by storm.

Kim’s late father, Robert Kardashian, was the defense attorney for O.J. Simpson’s 1995 murder trial. The star, who boasts 149 million Instagram followers, is also the founder of SKIMS Solutionwear.

Now aged 38, she initially rose to fame after featuring in reality TV series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

“How do I do it all?” she asked People Magazine during a recent interview. “It is exhausting. I just say CBD. [laughs] But I do… that has gotten me through a lot.”

While she may not be interested in trying the cannabis plant’s mind-altering substance THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), Kim claims to use CBD as a sleep-inducer. She also says that CBD helps her to relax and unwind.

“That’s not my thing,” Kim said about smoking the strong stuff. “I got into CBD a few months ago. It’s saved my life. Even to sleep at night. I like gummies. I will just use a little bit and fall asleep. I don’t think I would take a Xanax or Ambien again.”

Kardashian on CBD: Kylie Jenner also favors the non-psychoactive cannabinoid

Kim’s younger sister, Kylie Jenner, is also a fan of CBD, according to her most recent social media updates. The 22-year-old, who has a baby with rapper Travis Scott, shared with her followers an endorsement for “happy tea” – a CBD-infused drink made with hemp-derived goodness.

Although a celebrity’s opinion shouldn’t necessarily mean the go-ahead for someone who is considering trying CBD, an increasing body of evidence is emerging to support the idea that CBD works as a sleep aid and tool for relaxation.

For example, this study spotlighted the cannabinoid’s anxiolytic, analgesic and anti-stress effects.

An increasing number of celebrities are endorsing CBD products

The influencer age is among us. Of the millions of influencers earning a living through social media platforms like Instagram, YouTube and Facebook, a significant portion is celebrities.

Actress and former ‘Friends’ star, Jennifer Anniston, is one of them. The 50-year-old advocates the use of CBD as a health and wellness aid. She claims to have tried and benefited from using CBD to relieve anxiety and pain.

Another is the Oscar-winning actress, Whoopi Goldberg, who has even launched her own brand of cannabis-based products called ‘Whoopi & Maya.’ The products are designed to ease menstrual cramps in women, with the range featuring a diverse selection of tinctures, topical body lotions, and cannabis-infused edibles.

Gwyneth Paltrow is also said to be considering introducing CBD into her lifestyle and wellness brand, Goop. Some other celebrity names cropping up in the cannabis space include Snoop Dogg, Mike Tyson and Seth Rogen.
