New Frontier Data analysts say U.S. cannabis sales will reach $30 billion in sales by 2025
Approximately 36 percent of cannabis consumers report consuming the plant – in whatever form – on a daily basis
New Frontier Data recently published a report on U.S. cannabis industry trends and predictions.
The cannabis research company – which is based in Washington D.C. – unveiled an intriguing insight into the sales forecast for America’s budding industry.
Published annually, the report is titled, “The U.S. Cannabis Report 2019 Industry Outlook.”
Based on the report’s findings, the legal U.S. cannabis market is on track to rake in $30 billion by 2025. New Frontier Data’s founder and CEO, Giadha Aguirre de Carcer described the prediction as “significant.”
“Foreign investment into the U.S. cannabis industry remains strong and domestic consumption continues to rise, especially as new states legalize,” explained Aguirre de Carcer in an official statement.
Overview of key findings on U.S. cannabis industry sales report
So far, 33 states and Washington D.C. have legalized medical cannabis. An additional 10 states have legalized the plant for recreational purposes.
Aside from the colossal $30 prediction for 2025, “The U.S. Cannabis Report 2019 Industry Outlook” also includes the following sales forecasts:
- As many as 38.4 million Americans are estimated to use cannabis in the U.S. at least once per year; either purchased from legal or illegal sources.
- Approximately 36 percent of cannabis consumers report consuming the plant – in whatever form – on a daily basis.
- Approximately 59 percent of cannabis consumers report consuming the plant – in whatever form – at least once weekly.
- Individuals aged 25-44 constitute 45 percent of cannabis consumers in the U.S.
- A compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14 percent is to be expected from total legal sales of cannabis in current legal states within the next six years; taking into account the likelihood of other states enacting cannabis legalization.
- Annual sales of medical cannabis in the U.S. will inflate to $13.1 billion by 2025; growing at a CAGR of 17 percent.
- Annual sales of adult-use cannabis in the U.S. will inflate to $16.6 billion; growing at a CAGR of 16 percent.
U.S. cannabis industry report covers 100+ pages
The cannabis research report also explores consumer behavior patterns, black market going-ons and the U.S. opioid epidemic.
New Frontier Data analysts elaborate for over 100 pages; targeting a broad spectrum of readers, including fellow researchers, academics, business owners, entrepreneurs and investors.
